This is an ORIGINAL vintage solid silver and baked enamel Soviet Military order of THE RED STAR; number 3510712. According to the book”The order of the Red Star” by Strekalov and Durov printed in 2008 that particular order was issued by Soviet Mint, circa 1956; Type 7, Variation 2, sub-variation 2. The order of the Red Star was established by a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet on April 6, 1930. The Orders of the Red Star were awarded for outstanding achievements in the defense of USSR both in time of war and peace. Four million people were honored with the Order of Red Star. Excellent vintage condition; no chips, a few small scratches on enamel can be seen only under magnifying glass. Pictures are part of description.
